Goodbye Security Essentials

January 15, 2014 - administrator - Uncategorized

Starting August 2014, Microsoft will no longer support their free security protection software ‘Microsoft Security Essentials’ for Windows XP.

Pinning their hopes that all Windows XP users will have migrated to Windows 8 or at least Windows 7, stopping the support for Windows XP is another way of reducing the amount of services available for Windows XP even further.

The only options for users using Security Essentials are to upgrade their PCs to Windows 8 or purchasing a product that is not provided by Microsoft.
